Carly Sellers (USA) is currently serving as a Director and Treasurer for the Honduras Child Alliance. As a Director, Carly is hands-on involved in the orientation and support of project managers, coordinating dental teams, planning volunteer trainings, reviewing and organizing finances, and developing a complete operations manual.
Carly has spent most of her life working with kids teaching swimming lessons, coaching cheerleading, nannying, tutoring, and being a YMCA Camp Director. During college, she also worked as a Lead Facilitator for the Outdoor Pursuit Challenge Courses through Miami University’s Teambuilding Program.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Miami University in 2009, Carly worked for Butler County Children’s Services in Ohio, USA, conducting investigations of child abuse and neglect. She worked there until leaving for her first trip to Honduras in February of 2011. Carly spent her second trip (October 2011-March 2012) serving as the Project Manager for the 2011-12 Vacation Activities Program. Fun Fact: Since 2011, Carly has spent every Valentine’s Day in Honduras!
In her spare time, Carly loves to visit with her family and friends. She also loves playing piano and studying languages. Carly is currently managing a hostel in Mexico and continues to travel to Honduras every chance she gets!
